Afghanistan has come under the threat of fanatics willing to kill themselves and others because of some belief system they mistakenly call Islam.  We call it the jihadist movement. This movement has taken on a deadly form in Afghanistan.

Extremists plague us, exploit our tribal hospitality, and our ignorance.  The harboring of these extremists harms all Muslims everywhere.  The nation, every community, village, and tribe in Afghanistan is under the line of fire because some continue to harbor these terrorists.

We believe that Islam is not the problem.  Nor is Islamism, the idea that Islam is a political as well as belief system.  The problem is terrorism carried out by fanatics who think nothing of killing innocents in violation of all schools of Islamic law and then, worse yet, claim they act of piety.  We need to eradicate this scourge masquerading under the banner of Islam.

Afghans are uniquely qualified and positioned to map and help bring to justice this network of ruthless killers.  We want these extremists to stop exploiting our infant nation, recruiting our ignorant and vulnerable, killing our people, and using our homeland as a training ground to wreak destruction and ruin the image of Islam and Muslims globally.

Kabul Center is trying to find ways to eradicate the plague of terrorism and lethal religious extremism.
